 accuse


to say that someone is responsible for a crime or for having done something wrong
  • ·        He was accused of failing to pay his taxes.
  • ·        She accused me of lying





barrier
anything used or acting to block someone from going somewhere or from doing something, or to block something from happening:


  • The Secret Service erected concrete barriers around the White House.
  • Jackie Robinson was the African-American who succeeded in breaking major league baseball’s color barrier 




candidate
a person who is competing to get a job or elected to a position:
  • There are three candidates running for sheriff
