·         not ​willing to do something and ​therefore ​slow to do it

examples:
1.       I was very reluctant to agree to their conditions, but I didn't really have much choice

3.       Many ​parents ​feel reluctant to ​talk ​openly with ​their ​children.
4.       She ​persuaded her reluctant ​husband to take a ​trip to Florida with her.
5.       The United Nations was reluctant to get ​its ​forces ​embroiled in ​civil ​war.
